One of our favorite Halloween activities is booing our neighbors with treats and goodies. Have you ever been booed?
My daughter was three when we first got booed, and she was beside herself with excitement. We spied our neighbors running away but didn’t get a great view of them. Those stinkers! It made it so much more fun for her.
Wanna play along? Here’s how it works.
Close to Halloween, the doorbell rings but when you answer it, nobody is there! Instead, there is just a little treat bag full of Halloween goodies. The goodie bag also has a note about a silly ghost who has come to your neighborhood to spread some Halloween fun.

Once you are booed, you can pass on your own Halloween cheer by delivering goodie bags to your neighbor. Make the goodie bags as elaborate or simple as possible. It’s totally up to you. But no matter what you include in your boo bag, be sure to include the boo printable sign.
This year, we found cute reusable bags at the Target dollar spot along with some silly Halloween glasses and coloring books. Then, we went to Michaels and used our 40 percent off coupon to buy some painting with water books and stickers.
We also added a few treats like Halloween pretzels and caramel apple suckers. Last but not least, we popped a few glow bracelets in each bag. Every kid loves a glow stick for trick or treating! Plus, it helps keep them safe.
I bought out the Halloween cozies from the Target dollar spot to and tossed those in each bag. The dads in our neighborhood like to take a drink with them while the kiddos trick or treat.
Then of course, we put our printable in the bag. I even printed out extra copies for each bag to make it suuuuper easy for my neighbors to play.
If you do end up booing your neighbors, do me a favor. Drop me a comment and let me know how it went! And be sure to pin the image below to your holiday board so you can use it again next year.
